Luke Bryan Wins ACM Award For Entertainer of the Year

After a night filled with 25+ live performances, many of which were television premieres, the Academy of Country Music Awards has officially come to an end.

But before hosts Keith Urban and Mickey Guyton closed out the night, they had to give away one final award, and the biggest of the night, Entertainer of the Year.

Last year, for the first time ever, there was a tie and both Thomas Rhett and Carrie Underwood were awarded Entertainer of the Year.

This year, Rhett was up for potential back-to-back wins. He is up against Chris Stapleton, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, who won the award in 2013 and 2015, and Luke Combs.

The victor was Luke Bryan, who was the only Entertainer Of The Year not at the awards show! He was in Los Angeles for a live taping of American Idol. He found out the news and accepted his award via video and continued to say, “Y’all got me!”

Clearly, he was surprised! He thanks his family, his team, and of course, the fans, who have supported country music more than ever, especially when no one was able to play live shows.

Congratulations, Luke Bryan!
