Indiana resident Amber Conley shared a staggering photo of a four-foot, five-inch snake that choked to death after it tried to eat a fish that was way bigger than it could chew.
Amber was out on Brookville Lake boating with her friends when they found the dead snake floating in the water, one of the guys grabbed something to pick it up with and she took a picture of the creature.
“While fueling up today, we came across a dead snake that had choked on a huge fish,” she wrote on a Facebook post that received thousands of shares. “1 down, about 3 million to go,” she joking added.
Amber also jokingly added that she’d never be swimming in the lake again.
On a real note, she said this wasn’t her first snake experience at Brookville Lake.
“My property is up to the river that feeds the lake, and I see [snakes] a lot in my back yard,” Amber said. “I’ve just never saw one with a massive fish caught in its throat and clearly choked from it, or one that long.”
Two days after sharing the photo, another gentleman named Joel Connaway commented on the post showing photos of when he saw a snake from two weeks ago still alive at the river with a fish in its mouth.
The photos showed the snake the snake’s jaws stretched to the max with the fish lodged in it looking very similar to the photos Amber shared. However, when she asked him where he took the photo it was it wasn’t in Brookville, it was in Versailles.
