Tim McGraw and Faith Hill passed their musical talents on to their daughters. All three of their girls sing, though their eldest, Gracie, is the one you’ve probably heard from the most.

Gracie even recorded a duet with her father, titled “Here Tonight.” The song was released in 2015 off of Tim’s album Damn Country Music.

Gracie now lives in New York, where she is chasing her dreams. She frequently shares videos of herself performing, usually opting to sing show tunes from popular musicals.

Recently, Gracie joined a familiar face for a collaborative performance. Her duet partner was none other than her parents’ 1883 co-star Eric Nelsen.

Eric played Ennis in 1883, the cowboy who won Elsa Dutton’s heart. Tim and Faith played Elsa’s parents, James and Margaret.

It’s clear that Eric has remained close to Tim and Faith since they finished filming 1883. Still, we were surprised when we saw Gracie post the video of their duet!

Did you know that before he landed the role in 1883, Eric was a star on Broadway? He appeared in the musical 13 as Brett Sampson in 2008. Then in 2019, Eric co-produced the play The Inheritance, which won a Tony Award for Best Play.

It was a joy to hear Eric return to his Broadway roots through his duet with Gracie. The pair sang “Perfect for You” from the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Next to Normal.

@ericnelsenofficial texted me with the idea for us to perform this song together and of course I said YES!!!!!” Gracie captioned the video of their duet. “I never got the chance to see this show live but I always wanted to as it is such a great great show. Eric, this was so much fun to do with you!!! Can’t wait for us to do more soon!!!

Eric commented on the post, writing, “Was way too much fun.”

You can watch Gracie and Eric’s duet in the video below. We’d love to hear them sing together again!
