Happy’s Place Is Set To Make Its Big Return

Happy’s Place fans can get excited once again – Season 2 is set to make its return this fall! Reba McEntire confirmed it in a new video posted to social media in June.

The show, which first premiered last October, has been a huge success among viewers.

The plot follows Reba’s character, Bobbie, who inherits her father’s bar after his passing. However, while reviewing his will, she discovers she has a half-sister named Isabella (played by Belissa Escobedo). Together, they must learn to run the business while navigating any challenge that may come their way.

Happy’s Place became the most watched new comedy series to ever launch on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock, reaching over 10 million viewers.

Cast Members Of Reba Make Several Appearances

One of the most special parts of Happy’s Place was just how many familiar faces McEntire brought back on the show.

Melissa Peterman, who played Barbara Jean on Reba, was cast as a main character named Gabby, a bartender and Bobbie’s best friend. Christopher Rich, who played Reba’s ex-husband Brock on her early sitcom, returned to acting after a long break to take on the role of Maverick on the show, a tattoo artist.

The show’s creator, Kevin Abbot, discussed the possibility of having JoAnna García Swisher, who played McEntire’s daughter, Cheyenne, on Reba.

It seems now that possibility is becoming reality, as NBC posted a clip announcing she was joining the show as a special guest.

“Dream guest star unlocked. 😍 JoAnna Garcia Swisher is joining #HappysPlace!,” NBC wrote.

The video showed Reba and Melissa Peterman opening a door, enthusiastically welcoming JoAnna on the set.

Swisher will reportedly play the role of Kenzie, who is described as “a local Knoxville influencer who has been hired to represent Happy’s Place for their upcoming social media marketing campaign and all of it is much to Bobbie’s (McEntire) chagrin.”

The show is set to return Friday, November 7.
