Wallen’s appearance on SNL comes as he prepares to release his new album, I’m the Problem. He first announced the project in January and has been dropping hints about what fans can expect ever since.
So far, it has been confirmed that the album will have 37 songs in total. The release date is set for May 16.

When it was time to take the stage, Wallen performed the album’s title track live. He stood front and center as he belted out the emotional ballad.
Behind him, the set looked like a crime investigation board, with posters, photos of himself, and more connected with red string, just like something from a detective’s office.
But that wasn’t all. Wallen returned to the stage again later in the night to perform another new song, “Just In Case.”
This performance had fans talking even more, though. Behind Wallen, an old-fashioned TV sat on stage, and as he sang, the screen flashed what looked like part of the tracklist for I’m The Problem.
The screen revealed nine song titles, along with their track numbers on the album. Three of them included featured artists, but their names were censored out.
The songs that appeared on the screen are as follows:
- No. 2: “I Got Better”
- No. 4: “What I Want” (feat. _______)
- No. 8: “Skoal, Chevy and Browning”
- No. 14: “Where’d That Girl Go”
- No. 15: “Genesis”
- No. 17: “Number 3 and Number 7” (feat. _______)
- No. 21: “Come Back as a Redneck” (feat. _______)
- No. 34: “LA Night”
- No. 35: “Miami”
Morgan Wallen Sparks Criticism After SNL Appearance
Wallen has found himself in the middle of a controversy following his SNL appearance, but it isn’t because of his performances. A moment during the show’s end credits has received backlash from viewers.
As the credits rolled, Wallen stood with the cast while Mikey Madison thanked the audience. He hugged Madison but then walked off the front of the stage instead of staying with the group. Typically, it’s tradition for everyone involved in the episode to remain on stage, chatting and hugging until the cameras stop rolling.
His unexpected exit has stirred plenty of reactions online. But what really fueled the controversy was a photo Wallen later shared on his Instagram story.
The picture showed a plane he was about to board, with the caption, “Get me to God’s country.”
So far, neither Wallen nor his team has addressed the situation.
