While Nashville may technically be “Music City U.S.A.”, looks like they’re “Smashville” too! The biggest names in country music have been piling into Bridgestone Arena to watch the Nashville Predators take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in the final rounds of the Stanley Cup, including Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman.
The adorable couple have been coming out night after night to cheer on the Predators, thrilling fans with their adorable matching jerseys and enthusiastic “Preds Pride.” However, due to a conflicting time commitment, Kidman was unable to attend Game 4 of the series. Trading in her hockey jersey for a floor-length gown, the Oscar-winning actress hit the red carpet of the CFDA Awards in New York City forcing her to miss the Predators massive 4-1 victory Monday (June 6).
“Oh my gosh, it’s killing me I’m not there tonight!” said the actress on the red carpet. “But, this is how much I love fashion, that I am not at the Preds. I mean, come on! They better win.”
The actress went on to say it’s hard to say who gets “rowdier” at the games but that they have so much fun cheering the team on with daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
The Predators took down the Penguins 4-1, tying up the series 2-2 going into Game 5 of the playoffs. The teams face off again in Pittsburgh this Thursday (June 8), returning back to Nashville for Game 6 on Sunday (June 11).
