This Christmas, Nicole Kidman will star in a steamy thriller movie titled Babygirl.
In Babygirl, Nicole Kidman stars as workaholic CEO Romy, a married mother of two. Antonio Banderas portrays her husband, Jacob. She gets involved with a young intern at her company and begins a steamy affair with a power imbalance in the boardroom and the bedroom, but not in the way you might think.
The intern, played by newcomer Harris Dickinson, connects with Romy at work when they are paired up for a mentorship program. But their work relationship quickly turns sexual, and the intern, named Samuel, is a dominant partner. At one point in the trailer, he tells her, “I tell you what to do, and you do it.”
This could go for anything in the bedroom or out in public. At a work function at a bar, he sends her a glass of milk, and Romy drinks it with one look into Samuel’s eyes.
The erotic thriller follows them through this relationship as they grow closer. Romy tries to separate her work life from her home life. Still, Samuel gets closer to her, even befriending her husband and children.
At one point, he threatens her, saying that with one phone call to her husband, he could ruin her whole life. The intense trailer dropped on October 1st, a month after the movie debuted at the Venice Film Festival to much fanfare.
While speaking with The Sun, Kidman opened up about the intimate scenes she filmed.
The Sun reports she has racy scenes with both Banderas and Dickinson, some being so intense that she had to stop filming.
“There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It’s like, ‘Don’t touch me,’” she recalled. “There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more. Don’t come near me. I hate doing this.”
The Oscar-winner continued, “I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life! I’m over it. It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout.”
She and Dickinson really had a great bond, though. He would even tell the crew and other co-stars to leave the room “if we weren’t comfortable.”
They worked closely with two intimacy coordinators, but they weren’t “confined” to what the coordinators said they could or couldn’t do.
Kidman said, “I’m a huge believer still in the sacredness of the set or the actors’ space, and it never, never being violated. Because it’s ours, it’s the bubble, and then there’s the world outside.”
Mrs. Keith Urban has been in some racy movies in the past, but according to reports, this one is on another level.
