When Carrie Underwood was pregnant with now two-year-old son Isaiah, she continued to perform at various events, including 2014’s CMA Country Christmas. Jennifer Nettles hosted the event, which was filled with special performances by Alan Jackson, Steven Tyler, Brad Paisley, Nashville star Clare Bowen, actress-singer Lucy Hale, Idina Menzel from Frozen, and of course, Underwood.
Each performer sang Christmas songs including “Run Run Rudolph,” “Let It Be Christmas,” “White Christmas,” and “Do You Hear What I Hear?” Underwood chose to go the gospel route and performed the song “All Is Well.” Joined by popular Christian singer Michael W. Smith, the country singer gracefully sang each note with ease.
Smith is best known for his 1991 hit, “Place in this World” and recorded “All Is Well” for his 2014 album The Spirit Of Christmas. Smith accompanied Underwood on the piano and delivered masterful harmonies, along with a solo in the second verse.
While Underwood sounds incredible during every performance, she simply glowed in this one, perhaps because she was six or seven months pregnant! Just wait until she hits the final note – it will floor you.
Watch their performance below, and prepared to be blown away.
