Reba McEntire & Rex Linn Share The Sweetest Love
Country music star Reba McEntire and actor Rex Linn celebrated another sweet Valentine’s Day together with an absolutely iconic tradition!
The couple first met in 1991 on the set of The Gambler. They stayed in touch one filming wrapped but didn’t connect romantically until they reunited on the set of “Young Sheldon” and began dating in 2020.
“We instantly bonded over living in Oklahoma and our love for horses and acting,” Reba said of their first meeting. “He made me laugh, and we became good buddies.”
The two confirmed their engagement during a red carpet appearance before last year’s Primetime Emmy Awards.
The two now star in NBC’s hit show Happy’s Place together. The couple have also starred in Big Sky, The Hammer, Young Sheldon and The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw.
It’s clear the two truly enjoy one another’s company – both on and off screen.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE at the 2026 Grammy Awards, Reba shared just how much she loves working alongside Linn.
“Rex and I have the best time working together,” Reba said. “We’ve done movies together, television shows together, dramady and sitcoms.”
The “Fancy” singer also noted how much she adores her fiancé in real life.
“He’s the best date ever,” Reba gushed.

Reba & Rex Celebrate Valentine’s Day With Their Favorite Wholesome Tradition
This year, Reba and Rex upheld their longstanding Valentine’s Day tradition at their favorite fast food joint for a special holiday meal.
“Rex and I had a wonderful Sonic Valentine’s Day Lunch a little northeast of LA,” Reba shared on social media.
In a video documenting their 2026 celebration, Rex sat behind the wheel and excitedly announced, “We are on our way to the greatest Valentine’s meal on the planet — Sonic.”
Filming from the passenger seat, Reba chimed in as Rex told fans it was the sixth year of their beloved tradition. Moments later, he laughed and corrected himself, clarifying that it’s actually their fifth year keeping the Valentine’s ritual alive.
“Not only is it not that pricey, but it’s the best food ever…It will be the greatest Valentine’s dinner of all time,” Rex said of the meal.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we are so excited,” McEntire said as the couple pulled up to the Sonic. Linn added: “I’m a little emotional,” right before ordering their food.
