Riley Green Confirms His Television Acting Debut
Singer, songwriter… actor? “Don’t Mind If I Do” singer Riley Green recently spoke with Country Now and confirmed that he will soon be making his television acting debut. While he admitted that he was not sure how much he could share at this point, he revealed:
“I’ll just guess I’m allowed to say that I have done some acting, and it’s a show, and it’s going to be airing sometime fairly soon.”

Outside of music videos and commercials, the Alabama native is relatively new to the world of acting. He says that knowing a few people on the set of the undisclosed show helped calm his nerves. He explained:
“It really helps a lot when you feel comfortable there. And I did as soon as I got on set, and I think a little bit, it just happened so fast that I didn’t really have time to get nervous, and so I was just kind of, the scene was done, and I was like, ‘okay, well I guess it was all right.’ They didn’t yell at me or yell ‘cut’ or anything, but it was a lot of fun.”

With a stacked schedule of tour dates and other appearances, Green says that finding time to film the show was more difficult than the acting itself. He recalled:
“It was a little tough because of the travel, because I was still playing shows every weekend and flying out and flying back and flying out. So that was the tough part about it. But as far as actually on-set acting and kind of being there and getting into that headspace, I felt like it came sort of natural to me.”
Additional information, such as the name, subject, or timeline for the show, is not yet known. Stay tuned for more updates.
Riley Green Once Appeared On A Reality Show
Early fans may remember that Green once appeared on season four of CMT’s Redneck Island in 2014. The show followed 24 “rednecks” as they lived on an uninhabited island and competed in challenges.

Green was the winner of his season and walked away with a $100,000 prize. He recalled being recruited for the show:
“I was playing at Flora-Bama, and a couple guys came up and said, “We’re casting this show for CMT, we want you to be on it.” I did it because I thought it could help my music, and I believe it will. If 40,000 people watch it and they mention my music, I believe it’s worth it.”
