Country star Miranda Lambert did not show up to the 2019 CMT Music Awards. No one knows why, but here are a few reasons, which are just speculation.
She was not slated to perform at the awards show, and she was spotted at an event with new husband Brendan McLoughlin on Tuesday in Nashville, according to Us Weekly, so we know she was in town!
They went to Billboard‘s Country Power Players party at the Stateside Kitchen which honored 100 leaders in the country music industry. Lambert brought Loughlin to support her longtime manager Marion Kraft, who was being honored.
Lambert has been posting on social media about her foundation Muttnation’s involvement with CMA Fest which is Thursday-Sunday (June 6-9).
Rescuing a dog is great, but only if you’re ready for one! Here are a few things to think about before you take home a fur baby at @MuttNation’s #CMAFest adoption event this weekend.

Muttnation had a big walk on Thursday morning (June 6), so maybe she skipped the show because she wanted to call it an early night to be ready for the walk.
The “Keeper of the Flame” singer was initially nominated for Video of the Year, and also Female Video of the Year, as well as Collaborative Video of the Year for her song “Drowns The Whiskey” with Jason Aldean. “Drowns the Whiskey” was also up for Male Video of the Year.
Whatever the reason, she was missed at the CMT Music Awards!
