Marshals Marks The Next Chapter In The Yellowstone Universe

On Sunday (March 1), the Yellowstone empire officially expanded into a new chaper.

Centered solely on Kayce Dutton, Marshals premiered on CBS. The series follows John Dutton’s son as he takes a decisive turn in his life, joining an elite team of U.S. Marshals.

Actor Luke Grimes returned to the role and many familiar faces from Yellowstone are expected to make several appearances. The spin-off also introduced its first new cast member, Logan Marshall-Green, who plays Pete “Cal” Calvin, a close friend from Kayce’s military past.

The season’s premiere episode, “Piya Wiconi,” introduces Kayce as he takes on a new role leading a U.S. Marshals team in Montana, with his grown son Tate (Brecken Merrill) joining him. The move comes after Kayce sold the family ranch and chose to start over, following the events of Yellowstone’s season finale, which brought the Paramount Network series to a close.

We also discover his beloved wife, Monica, has died from cancer, fueling Kayce towards his greater purpose.

Will Marshals Be Available On Paramount+?

While Marshals will stream on Paramount+, the timing depends on your subscription plan.

Marshals is available both live and on demand for Paramount+ Premium subscribers, allowing viewers to watch it at the same time it airs on CBS. However, for those with the Paramount+ Essential Plan, the earliest Marshals will be available is on Mondays after it airs on Sundays.

According to its website, the Paramount+ Essential plan allows subscribers to stream on up to three devices at once, watch live sporting events like the UFC and NFL, access select Showtime series, and explore a library of more than 40,000 episodes and movies. The plan is ad-supported, meaning most on-demand content will include commercial breaks.

The Premium Plan includes everything in the Essential plan, but with no ads on most on-demand content (commercials do still appear during live TV, though). Premium subscribers can also stream CBS live, download movies and shows for offline viewing, access the full Showtime library, and watch select titles in 4K.
