As most of you know, sleep is not something that is easy to come by when you are a parent to a newborn – for the baby or for the parent!
Chip and Joanna Gaines became parents of five when their baby boy, Crew, was born on June 23. Chip announced the happy news on Twitter, writing, “And then there were 5…The Gaines crew is now 1 stronger! 10 beautiful toes and 10 beautiful fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great!”

Since his birth, the proud parents have been sharing sweet photos of Crew, as well as their older children, Emmie Kay (8), Duke (9), Ella (11), and Drake (13), doting on their baby brother.

In the latest photo/video updates of little Crew, Joanna shared a sneak peek into a regular Wednesday evening for her. As Crew slept in her arms, she walked around her garden to admire their flowers and fruit trees, and she even shared a sweet close-up snap of Crew’s face.

Perhaps Crew enjoyed the steady rocking of being in his mama’s arms while she walked, the serene silence, or the fresh air in garden because he was getting a good nap in! As an experienced mama, Joanna knows that when the baby is sleeping, you let them sleep. Who knows when the next time will be!
