On one spectacular episode, this 11-year old showed off his country singing talents to the entire world. Sonny French from Sydney, Australia came onto the show a little nervous but he found his voice the second he started playing music.
The show’s host asked him how he came to like country music and Sonny simply explained, “I’ve been brought up with country music and I love all the melodies and the stories to the songs in country music – it’s just how I am.”
Sonny added that he learned everything he knows from his musical parents who have their own band. They support their son’s dreams and often even bring him on stage as a guest performer for their shows!

An excited, smiley Sonny told Little Big Shots that his goal is to one day, sing at Grand Ole Opry in Nashville TN. Based on his many talents – we think that goal just might come true.
For one, this kid has been playing the ukulele since he was six. Oh yea, and did we mention can play it behind his head?!
As for singing, he’s been doing that since he can remember. The host played an adorable video of Sonny singing Glen Campbell‘s “Rhinestone Cowboy” when he was just three! You could tell Sonny was being very humble about his talents but the crowd couldn’t help but go wild.

As the show continues, Sonny’s dad came to help him out on stage as a backup guitarist during the performance. Sonny showed off his twangy voice while giving a bubbly cover of “Rainbow Connection.” Originally sung by Kermit the Frog on The Muppets, the song has been given a country-fried twist by artists like Willie Nelson.
Throughout his performance Sonny just can’t stop smiling – it is so nice to see how much being on Little Big Shots made his day.
