High Schooler Prays With Opposing Team’s Player
Two high school football players on opposite teams stole the hearts of thousands after a game in Sherman, Texas when one of them prayed for the other player’s mom who is battling cancer.
I was sent these pics last night and was going to make a long post but I'm gonna keep it short.

The Images Of The Boys Go Viral
Gage Smith who plays for Sherman High School is a wide receiver and helped take his team to victory on Friday, November 8th. After they won, he couldn’t help but walk over to his friend Ty Jordan who played for Mesquite West High and talk to him.
The two met a while back playing on a select 7-on-7 team according to KXII-TV and Gage heard about Ty’s mom having stage 4 lung and bone cancer. Losing a game can be pretty hard on a high schooler but potentially losing your mom would be even more devastating.
Feeling compassion for Ty, he asks if he can pray for his mom. Agreeing to the gesture both boys take a knee, lock arms and begin praying. Gage’s football coach’s wife pulled out her camera and captured pictures of the two which she later sent to Jordan’s aunt who posted them to Facebook.
According to WFSB, the images have been shared more than 150 thousand times and got so much attention, media outlets started reaching out to do interviews with them.
“When you’re playing the game, you’re playing to win, and the other team is the enemy. But afterward, you still have respect for the other opponent. Football brings people together in so many different ways, and that was just one example of it that night,” Gage told WFSB during an interview.
Both boys continue to be interviewed and their pictures continue to brighten the hearts of thousands around the world. Watch Ty Jordan’s interview below.
