Is Something New Coming Between Riley Green & Ella Langley?
Country music fans have embraced the undeniable musical chemistry between Riley Green and Ella Langley, whose duets have become some of the most successful collaborations in recent years. The artists first teamed up in 2024 for their hit, “you look like you love me,” released on Langley’s debut album Hungover.
The song was a massive success, winning the CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year in 2024. At the 2025 CMA Awards it swept once again, winning Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Music Video of the Year.
The duo then reunited for a second collaboration, “Don’t Mind If I Do,” released later in 2024 on Green’s album. Green told Holler that he had originally asked Langley to come into the studio just to record a female vocal part for the song. After hearing her performance, however, he decided it worked best as a duet and kept her vocals on the final track.
“I’ve done a few duets at this point and some feature stuff, and really, for me, it’s the relationship, the connection. It’s somebody I want to create with, you know? It’s fun…On ‘Don’t Mind If I Do,’ he wrote that one by himself, and he just asked for me to come in the green room and see how a female sounded on it, just for fun. Then I think they loved it the way we did it – so they kept it on there,” Green said at the time.
Lets Dive Into The “Hints” Of A New Possible Collaboration
Now, fans have been putting some pieces together, and rumors have swirled as to whether or not the duo will be recording another song soon. While these rumors have not been confirmed, lets walk through some “clues” that have left fans speculating.
On March 1st, Green posted a clip of his unreleased song, “Imagine That,” on TikTok. The song appears to be about someone “dying” to get their love back.
Then, just days later, Langley shared Patsy Cline’s 1962 hit “Imagine That,” to her Instagram story. Those lyrics describe unconditional devotion. The narrator admits that even after being hurt by a lover, she still cannot stop loving them.
Since the two both posted the same title, the same exact week, it seems only time will tell as to whether or not something new is on the horizon between the duo.
