As Big & Rich took to the stage in front of a sea of excited fans, they seized the moment to lead a massive, collective rendition of “God Bless America,” a staple song that has been part of their concerts for many years.

Before launching into the patriotic anthem, John Rich addressed the audience with a message, stating, “This is the most important song any American can be singing at this exact minute.”

“God Bless America” was originally written by legendary songwriter Irving Berlin during World War I in 1918. He later revised it in 1938 for singer Kate Smith, and it then went on to become the iconic song it is today.
