A man was arrested at Morgan Wallen’s concert on Friday, August 2, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

The concertgoer, later identified as 23-year-old Aaron Brown, was arrested and charged with a Class E felony for making a “terroristic threat” after saying he will shoot “two individuals, who were members of the Kansas City Chiefs organization,” according to reports. The team’s quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce, and defensive tackle, Chris Jones, were special guests at Wallen’s concert that evening.

According to police, Brown posted the threat on his X (formerly Twitter) account, and authorities discovered the post while they were monitoring social media activity before the concert.

The concert experienced a 40-minute delay as police actively searched for him throughout the venue.

According to documents obtained by Billboard, Brown’s girlfriend, who was with him at the concert, stated that he posted the threat onto a burner account, which he often used to “tweet stupid stuff,” because he was a fan of a rival team of the Chiefs.

After recognizing the seriousness that the situation held, she advised him to delete it, but he dismissed her concerns, saying nobody would see it. They eventually removed the post, and she mentioned that she believed he had no intention of acting on the threat.

In the documents, Brown is quoted as saying, “It was a stupid, stupid, stupid mistake.” He claimed he had never made such threats on social media before, and he also holds no previous criminal history.

Brown was released the next day after posting a $15,000 bond, despite prosecutors requesting a $250,000 cash bond.

Morgan Wallen eventually made his way to the crowd as the concert began following its delay. Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones joined Wallen as he approached the stage, all smiles despite the situation leading up to the concert.
