Blake Shelton’s 17-Year-Old Stepson, Kingston, Makes Live Singing Debut At Ole Red Tishomingo

Being a good stepdad is important to Blake Shelton. His wife, Gwen Stefani, has three sons: Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.

Blake and Gwen married in 2021, but have been together since 2015. So he’s played an active role in the boys’ lives for many years.

In fact, Blake made the choice to leave The Voice after 23 seasons in order to spend more time with his family. He told PEOPLE:

If I walked away from my career at this time, the only thing that I run the risk of is having regrets that I’m missing out on some more important things in life. For now, that’s our kids. This isn’t about me anymore and never will be again.”

He continued:

“Even though I’m a stepparent, I take that job very seriously. The kids see me as a very important person in their life. [When they ask,] ‘Why isn’t Blake here?’ I take that stuff to heart. I’ve made plenty of money, but you can’t buy time back. I don’t want any regrets.”

Blake, Gwen, & Kingston All Sing At Blake’s Bar In Oklahoma

Blake expressed his support for his eldest stepson, 17-year-old Kingston, in the summer of 2023. He invited Kingston to perform at his Ole Red bar and restaurant in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

This invitation was especially meaningful, since it was Kingston’s first public performance.

Blake previously teased Kingston’s performance without naming him. He said:

Ok y’all here’s the deal… 7:30pm this Friday I’m gonna set up and play 30 minutes or so acoustically. Then I’m gonna turn the stage over to a debut artist that will be doing their VERY FIRST public performance! See you at the @OleRed Tishomingo Doghouse!!!! You never know who else may show up….

Blake performed a few songs that night, and Gwen also joined him onstage. But the highlight of the evening was when Kingston performed.

17-year-old Kingston seemed calm and confident as he delivered his debut live performance. The folks in Ole Red were loving every minute of it!

After Kingston finished singing, he said:

Love you guys, thank you for being here! Thank you, it means everything to me, really. I hope you guys had a great night, enjoy yourselves!

Shelton congratulated his stepson by hopping onstage to give him a hug.
