The country is mourning the loss of one of its most beloved war heroes and politicians. Following the death of Arizona Senator John McCain Saturday afternoon (August 25), tributes have poured in from friends, colleagues, supporters and even those on the opposite side of the political spectrum.
Numerous country stars took to social media Saturday evening to honor Senator McCain, including Lee Greenwood, Tim McGraw and The Oak Ridge Boys.

Country star Brad Paisley took his tribute a step farther when he paid tribute to the 81-year old war hero during his concert in Bristow, Virginia. As Paisley finished singing his award-winning song “When I Get Where I’m Going,” a photo of Senator McCain appeared on the large screen. The crowd immediately stood to their feet and erupted into cheers as Paisley tipped his hat to the beloved veteran.
