In March, Carrie Underwood released a new single, “Ghost Story.” She delivered her first live performance of the song at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (April 3).

Fans assumed the release of “Ghost Story” signaled that Underwood had a new album in the works. Those assumptions turned out to be correct!

On Thursday morning (April 7), Underwood took to social media with an announcement about her new album. She unveiled its cover art, release date, and title.

The new album is titled Denim & Rhinestones. Its cover art perfectly complements the title, as it shows Underwood wearing a denim dress and a denim jacket with rhinestone fringe.

Denim & Rhinestones will be released on June 10. But it will be available for preorder at midnight on Friday (April 8).

I can’t wait any longer!! I have a new album coming June 10! Get ready for #DenimAndRhinestones! Pre-order beginning at midnight ET!” Underwood wrote in her announcement.

Denim & Rhinestones will be the first country album Underwood has released since 2018’s Cry Pretty. She released a Christmas album, My Gift, in 2020. Her Grammy-winning gospel album, My Savior, was released in 2021.
