Growing up, we all had that one song that could make us jump off the couch, put on our dancing shoes, and cut the rug. For this spirited little guy, that song was “Chattahoochee” by Alan Jackson. His spunky dance moves and hilarious hopping will have you going down memory lane and wishing you had that kind of energy again!

“Chattahoochee” was released in 1993 and quickly rose to number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and stayed there for four weeks! It also topped Billboards US Country Songs end of the year chart. Jackson has since admitted that he had no clue how popular the song would become.

He told Taste of Country, “It’s a song about having fun, growing up and coming of age in a small town — which really applies to anyone across the country, not just by the Chattahoochee. We never thought it would be as big as it’s become.”

Fans across the U.S. – and even a few abroad – fell in love with the upbeat tune and it has continued to be a “party starter” at weddings and honky tonks alike. The song’s music video gained even more popularity and is best remembered for Jackson wearing a cowboy hat while water skiing.

The best part of this timeless jam is that the next generation of country lovers are still jumping, swirling, and twirling to the country classic. In a 2018 post by Chris Janson, his adorable son shows off his dance moves – cowboy boots and all!

The dance party’s song choice should come as no surprise. Janson is known for his own love of the river life. He gained popularity with his song “Buy Me A Boat” in 2015 and has been jamming ever since. The song talks about the value of money and while “money can’t buy everything…it could buy me a boat.”

Now this country star’s youngster is following in dad’s footsteps – loving boats, country music, and dancing! With his bin of toys and cowboy hat in the background, we can tell this little guy is on his way to do great things.
