Dan + Shay Released Their First Christmas Album This Year
The Grammy Award-winning duo had covered Christmas songs in the past but had never released their own holiday album. Over the past ten years, fans frequently asked for a full Christmas collection. In October of this year, Dan + Shay finally delivered.
They released It’s Officially Christmas, named after their popular 2021 Christmas single. Not only that, but the album turned out to be a double album, featuring a total of 21 songs.
“This project has been a decade in the making, and we are so proud of every single note,” Dan + Shay wrote on social media. “We truly leaned into our love for the holiday season and think we found some magic in these songs. Our hope is that you are able to enjoy + share that same magic with your loved ones for years to come. As always, thank you for continuing to believe in us and allowing us to live our dream. We’re grateful for you, and we’re grateful for Christmas!”
The tracklist for It’s Officially Christmas includes classic holiday songs everyone knows and loves, like “Let It Snow” and “Jingle Bell Rock.” It also features original songs by the duo, such as “Save The Snowman” and “The Cozy Song.”
Dan + Shay brought plenty of energy to the annual Rockefeller Center tree lighting with their performance of “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.” They also gave a lively rendition of “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.”
