While accepting his third NFL MVP award in his career, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers quickly revealed that he got engaged in 2020.

It’s an honor to win this award for the third time. 2020 was definitely a crazy year, filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing memorable moments. 180 straight days of having my nose hairs scraped. Playing for very little fans or no stands the entire season, I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career,” he said.

He also thanked his “fiancee” among the long list of people he credited for helping him get the MVP award again. Just a few days ago, E! News confirmed he was dating actress Shailene Woodley.

The engagement news comes seven months after it was revealed that Rodgers had ended his two-year romance with NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, which began in January 2018.

Because Rodgers’ engagement seemed to happen pretty quickly after his and Patrick’s break-up, fans were wondering how she would be handling the news. While she hasn’t commented on it, she did go on a trip with friends to the snow this weekend as the news broke.

She and her friends Pat Parnell, David Vanderveen, Iris Bourne, Glenn Rogers, and Sarah Koops Vanderveen traveled to Mammoth Mountain to enjoy the slopes and even took a dip in some hot springs.

The retired NASCAR driver shared two different posts commemorating the weekend.

“‘I’m a skier, I’m a skier!’ What about bob reference) ? kinda sorta ish,” she wrote alongside several photos and videos of the group skiing.

She also shared photos of the group in the hot spring, writing, “First time to a hot spring. Doing things for the first time seems to be the name of the game for me these days. Um, awesome!!!!! Doing things for the first time brings back a child like quality to life.
