You may know Tyler Wood from the Discovery Channel’s hit reality TV show Moonshiners but did you know he has the voice of a real country music legend? Wood released his third album Who I Am in 2018. The album launched with a music video for the song titled “Dad,” dedicated to his father. It’s perfect for Father’s Day and it’s got all the right feels.

We asked Wood what his inspiration was for the song “Dad.”

“I wanted to write a song about my dad that people could relate to in their own life. It’s not just about the dads that are still here with us, it’s also about the ones who have left their mark on this world and made the journey home. That’s what country music is, it’s a story that tells the truth. I think people have lost sight of that in 2018,” said Wood, “I’m here to bring it back.”

Wood is as country as it gets, with his first two albums Outlaw Soul and Road to Redemption making waves. Wood is most known in country music for his hit single “Still Ridin’ Shotgun” and recently released video “Home,” both of which are available on YouTube. All of his albums are available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Apple Music & more.

Country music needs more artists like Tyler Wood. Take a listen to “Dad” below, we think you’ll agree.
