Newlyweds Josh Lucas And Brianna Ruffalo Share Wedding Photos On Social Media
Josh Lucas and Brianna Ruffalo surprised their followers by sharing a stunning series of wedding photos on social media.
The Yellowstone star and the Los Angeles-based meteorologist recently said “I do” in the Vatican City. Lucas shared the happy news on July 18 by posting a three black-and-white wedding photos. He tagged the Vatican as the location, but didn’t write a caption.

The following day (July 19), Lucas shared two more wedding photos on social media. In the caption, he thanked everyone who made his and Ruffalo’s “dream” wedding a reality.
“A huge thank you to deeply talented @caterinaerrani_photography & to @weddings_italy @paolo_nassi @JinaneKafrouny @sena_wedding_world who helped make the dream of wedding in the #vatican come true… many many people to thank for this to come…”

Ruffalo also posted some wedding photos on her Instagram page. She shared how “blessed” she was to get married in the Vatican, writing:
“Mr. and Mrs. Incredibly blessed to receive this sacrament together inside the heart of the Catholic Church and holy city.”
Lucas shared his love for his wife in the comments of her post, saying, “I love you! Easily one of the greatest days of my life. I am so so grateful.“
In a second post about their wedding, Ruffalo said:
“We are grateful to the many people who helped us get to this moment in the Catholic Church. I am so thankful for Father Winters at the parish I grew up in, and Sister Angelica at the archdiocese of Los Angeles- as well as several others within the archdiocese. We also absolutely couldn’t have done this without our stellar wedding planning team who coordinated with the Vatican. Thank you for making our wedding day so beautiful and easy.”
How Long Have Josh Lucas And Brianna Ruffalo Been Together?
Lucas, who’s known for his roles in projects such as Yellowstone and Sweet Home Alabama, started dating Ruffalo a few years ago. They went public with their relationship in 2023, and announced their engagement in June 2024.
“Almost 2 years ago this fall, and with no expectations, Josh walked into my life,” Ruffalo wrote on Instagram after the proposal, “and we knew almost immediately we had each found our person in a way we’ve never experienced—on every level.”
After popping the question, Lucas shared:
“For the last 2 years in Every Way and Every Day this beautiful soul has made me and my life better, deeper, and more whole. I am so grateful and thrilled she said ‘Yes.’ I WAY love you Brianna. & Thank You to our families and all the people and places that made this come true. I am absolutely aware I got crazy lucky.”
Funny enough, while Ruffalo absolutely adores her husband, she never rooted for his character in Sweet Home Alabama. The movie centers on Melanie (played by Reese Witherspoon), who comes home to Alabama to finalize her divorce from her first husband, Jake (played by Lucas). She wants to put the past behind her so she can marry a new man, Andrew (played by Patrick Dempsey).
Despite being in love with Lucas in real life, Ruffalo has always been a bigger fan of Dempsey’s character.
“From day one, she was like, ‘Oh yeah, you were the other guy,'” Lucas once told E! News. “She was like, ‘I didn’t like you because you, like, stole her from Patrick.’ We actually watched part of it once and she fell asleep, like, 10 minutes in and was still like, ‘I’m still Team Patrick.'”
Sounds like a Sweet Home Alabama movie night may not be in the newlyweds’ future anytime soon!
