Adding to the intrigue, Mick Fleetwood posted a video of himself listening to an early song by Stevie and Lindsey, titled “Frozen Love,” just the day before.
About “Frozen Love”
Before Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined the British band Fleetwood Mac, the two American artists were boyfriend and girlfriend. Together, they released a 1973 album, titled Buckingham Nicks, and that album includes a song called “Frozen Love.”
In the chorus to “Frozen Love,” the following lyrics are found:
“And if you go forward, I’ll meet you there.”
In the July 16 video Mick Fleetwood shared, which was liked on Instagram by both Stevie and Lindsey, Mick can be seen removing his headphones after listening to some of “Frozen Love.”
Mick then then says, “Unbelievable. The marriage of Stevie and Lindsey, the marriage of coming into Fleetwood Mac when they did. It’s all in the song. It’s in the music that played on for so many years. It’s magic then, magic now. What a thrill. What a thrill. Amen.”

Theories
Presently, the album Buckingham Nicks has never been commercially remastered or digitally released. Could these posts be foreshadowing a rerelease of Buckingham Nicks?
One fan wrote on X, “OMFG BUCKINGHAM NICKS REMASTER?? PLEASE LET IT BE A BUCKINGHAM NICKS REMASTER.”
Commenting on Mick’s video, one fan wrote, “I don’t care if you are messing with us, but this is a very nice recording. Almost sounds…remastered?!?!?”
Another wrote, “The Buckingham Nicks album needs a proper release! It’s such a great album!”
Further, 2025 marks 50 years since the first Fleetwood Mac featuring Stevie and Lindsey was released. Titled Fleetwood Mac, the album was the band’s 10th release, but it marked a fresh start for the band. With songs like “Rhiannon” and “Landslide,” the album introduced the band to the world, going No. 1 on the United States Billboard 200 chart.
Could the band be reuniting for another tour?
One fan wrote on Instagram, “Mick posts, Lindsey likes, AND Stevie likes…. Don’t. Toy. With. Us. We’re fragile.”
Another said, “Explain yourselves right now.”
Of the band’s lineup, Christine McVie died in 2022, but the other members of the band are still alive.
On July 21, the sighting of a billboard in Los Angeles with the Buckingham Nicks cover and the date of September 19 has furthered the belief these posts refer to a reissue of the 1973 album that first brought the stylings of Nicks and Lindsey to music fans.
