Eric Church and Luke Combs to Hold Benefit Concert for Hurricane Helene Victims

Earlier this week, North Carolina natives Eric Church and Luke Combs announced they would be putting on a benefit concert to raise funds for those needing aid after Hurricane Helene devastated the state.

The powerful storm tore through the southeastern United States, leaving thousands without electricity, destroying homes, and tragically causing over 200 deaths.

The benefit concert, titled Concert for Carolina, will take place on October 26th at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. In addition to performances by Eric Church and Luke Combs, special guests Billy Strings, James Taylor and more will also join the event to raise funds for hurricane relief efforts.

All proceeds from the evening will go directly to North Carolina’s relief efforts, including funds from ticket sales, raffles, and auctions that are scheduled to take place.

Both Eric Church and Luke Combs grew up in North Carolina, so it’s clear they want to help however they can. While promoting the Concert for Carolina on FOX & Friends, the two country stars talked about why it was so important to organize this benefit concert, even though events like this usually take months to plan.

“This is the place that I grew up and these are the people that I grew up around and they’re tough people,” Combs said. “And I know that they’ll get through this. And I just want to be able to help, me and Eric want to be able to help in ways that were useful at doing so.”

“I called him straight away day after [Hurricane Helene] and was like, hey, I’m going to do whatever it takes to put this show together,” Combs continued. “He really did a great job reaching out to a lot of folks and as in my team to make this happen. A lot of people stepped up to help. And, for that…I’m forever grateful.”

Church added that the tight-knit communities in North Carolina are relying on support from across the country because so much of the state was affected and can’t fully help each other. He described the people in western North Carolina as “tough” but stressed that recovery will take time, saying this isn’t just something that will be fixed overnight—it could take years for the communities to fully bounce back.

“The people here are going to need more than a month or two,” Church added. “So the more light we can shed on this community and rebuilding this community, the better off we’re going to be.”

Tickets for the Concert for Carolina benefit concert will go on sale on Thursday, October 10th, at 10 AM Eastern Time. You can purchase your ticket at concertforcarolina.com
