Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, And Taylor Sheridan Search For The Next Great Act On The Road
Music fans will get a behind-the-scenes look into the “gritty and unforgiving life of a touring musician” with CBS’s brand new series The Road. The reality show will follow seasoned performers Keith Urban and Blake Shelton‘s journey to find the next star musician.
Emerging artists, who have yet to be announced, will open for Urban at venues across the nation. They will learn what it is like to “pile into a tour bus and tackle a grueling schedule in pursuit of their dreams.”
Additionally, viewers can expect to see up-and-coming performers and get a glimpse into the unseen workings of the music industry.
Urban and Shelton will serve as executive producers alongside media magnate Taylor Sheridan, best known for the Yellowstone franchise.

Gretchen Wilson Joins The Road
This week, it was announced that Gretchen Wilson will join The Road as the show’s “tour manager.” In this role, she will offer support and guidance to the contestants, “ensuring the tour’s success while sharing her own expertise and experiences on the road as a touring artist.”
Wilson shared her excitement for the experience and said:
“Stepping into the role of ‘tour manager’ for THE ROAD has allowed me to take everything I’ve learned over all of my years of touring and pour it right back into these emerging musicians. Helping them sharpen their talents to capture the attention of these crowds across America, and guiding them through the real and raw grind of life on the road, has been a highlight of my career.”
Fans can also expect a performance from the “Redneck Woman” herself during the season.
The Road is set to premiere this fall on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. The exact premiere date has not yet been announced. Check back for updates!
