ACM Awards Will Take Place On Thursday, May 8th

Reba McEntire returns to host the 60th Annual ACM Awards in Dallas, Texas.

Because it is such a monumental anniversary, this year’s award show is being hyped up to be one of the biggest and best yet, mostly because of its star-studded lineup of performers.

Blake Shelton, Lainey Wilson, Eric Church, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton, Clint Black, Cody Johnson, Kelsea Ballerini, LeAnn Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, and Wynonna Judd are all slated to perform!

The ACM Awards is an awards show, so who is nominated? Ella Langley leads the pack with eight nominations followed by Morgan Wallen, Cody Johnson, and Lainey Wilson with seven nominations each.

ACM Hands Out Three Early Awards

On April 24, the Academy of Country Music presented Zach Top with the New Male Artist of the Year trophy. Actually, Brooks & Dunn told him about his win!

A few days later, Miranda Lambert surprised Ella Langley in the middle of her Rock This Country festival set to let her know she had won New Female Artist of the Year!

Ella’s response? “God Bless America.”

Since New Male and New Female Artist Awards had been handed out, fans were wondering when the ACMs would present New Duo Or Group Award! Well, the wait is over!

The Red Clay Strays were announced as the New Duo or Group Award winners on Tuesday (April 29)!

Thanks to their songs “Wanna Be Loved,” “Devil in My Ear,” and “Wondering Why,” it’s no surprise that The Red Clay Strays took this award home.

Past New Duo or Group Award winners include Zac Brown Band, Lady A, Little Big Town, Midland, Brothers Osborne, Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry, and more!
