If you’ve looked at the country charts at any point this year, chances are you’ve seen Gwen Stefani’s name a couple times.
Towards the end of 2019, she and her boyfriend of over four years, Blake Shelton, released a duet titled “Nobody But You,” which hit number one on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart and number two on the Hot Country Songs chart.
On July 24, 2020, the couple released a single titled “Happy Anywhere,” which they recorded and released during quarantine.
Because of her newfound success in country music, she and Jimmy Fallon came up with a funny skit for her appearance on The Tonight Show. Fallon dressed up in a cowboy hat and wig while promoting a new album of Stefani’s titled Gwen’s Gone Country.
The album features her songs from her time with No Doubt and as a solo artist, but rearranged them to being country songs. She featured three songs, “Don’t Speak,” “Spiderwebs,” and “Hollaback Girl,” and sang them dressed in her finest country garb while strumming a guitar.
