Here’s Why Chick-Fil-A Will Be Closed Christmas Weekend

Chick-fil-A / Facebook

If you thought of getting yourself a hot and steamy Chick-fil-A sandwich on Christmas Day you better make sure you do it on Christmas Eve, because they’re not going to be open on the 25th.

With Christmas day being on a Saturday this year and Chick-fil-A naturally being closed on Sundays, you’re going to have to wait until the following Monday morning to get your hands on that spicy chicken deluxe this coming up Christmas weekend.

As it is certainly good to be aware of this so you can plan ahead properly, this comes as no surprise to a loyal Chick-Fil-A customer.

Chick-fil-A’s founder Truett Cathy is a devout Christian and says he lets his employees recognize the Sabbath each week and take Sundays off if they choose to do so.

He also allows them to take off on all Christian holidays as well and this applies to all 2,700 of his nationwide locations.

“Chick-fil-A restaurants will be closed on Christmas Day so our restaurant teams can spend time with family and friends,” Chick-fil-A wrote on his wesbite. “We will also be closed on Sunday, December 26 – as we are every Sunday — but look forward to serving you when we reopen on Monday, December 27.”
