Jelly Roll Makes a Guest Appearance In Season 2 of Tulsa King.
We all know that Jelly Roll, a two-time Grammy-nominated artist, can sing, but he showed that his skills go beyond music when he made his acting debut in Season 2 of the Paramount+ drama series Tulsa King.
Apparently, Tulsa King is Jelly Roll’s favorite show, and when the chance to be on it came up, he wasn’t going to miss it.
According to USA Today, Jelly Roll filmed his cameo back in April while passing through Atlanta on his Beautifully Broken tour. The opportunity was so last-minute for the “Save Me” singer that his tour bus pulled into the studio where Tulsa King is filmed, and he spent the night in the parking lot before shooting his scene.
In the scene, Sylvester Stallone, who stars as Manfredi, is throwing a grand opening party for his dispensary club, The Even Higher Plane, which conveniently had a recording booth installed when the club was getting a remodel.

Jelly Roll, who plays himself on the show, arrives at the party, and their introduction is quite funny when Manfredi mistakenly calls him “Jellyfish” and is convinced that he is actually a janitor and not a country music superstar. By the end of the scene, Jelly Roll is performing his hit song “I Am Not Okay” in the clubs recording booth.
“Lucky for me, Dwight and Stallone are two different guys. Syl knew my name,” Jelly Roll told USA TODAY in a statement. “Dude, I’m such a hard-core Tulsa King fan that me and my wife binge-watched the whole first season the first day it dropped.”
This wasn’t actually the first time Jelly Roll’s music has been featured on the show. Before Season 2 was even released, his song “Get By” was used in the trailer to promote the upcoming season.
