Blake Shelton leaves longtime record label Warner Music Nashville
On September 3rd, Blake Shelton announced that after 20 years, he would be parting ways with Warner Music Nashville. The 49-year-old shared a message of gratitude as he closed this chapter of his career. He wrote:
“I moved to Nashville when I was 17 to sing country music and get a record deal,” Shelton said. “Along with the support from Warner, my dreams came true, and then some. It’s impossible to name everyone who has had a hand in all the success we enjoyed, but a huge and heartfelt thank you to the Giant Records, Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music Nashville staff and family.”
Following Shelton’s announcement, the label responded and echoed the same sentiment. They shared in a statement:
“Working alongside Blake these past 23 years has been an honor and a privilege. Together, we’ve celebrated a record number of hit songs, sold-out tours and award wins. Blake’s talent is undeniable, but that wit of his, and the countless moments of laughter he’s given us remind us how fun this business of music can be. While our time together has come to an end, we count ourselves amongst his biggest fans and are grateful for the ride with this true gentleman and icon.”
During his time with Warner Music Nashville, Blake Shelton released 11 studio albums, earned 28 No. 1 hits, and gathered billions of global streams. The “Austin” singer also won dozens of awards, including CMA, ACM, and CMT awards, solidifying him as a country music icon.
Blake Shelton signs with a new record label, BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville
On September 23rd, it was announced that Blake Shelton had officially found a new record label home. The country star signed a new deal with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, the label that boasts Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean, and Jelly Roll among their ranks.

Blake reflected on this new partnership with BMG and shared:
