In a touching show of thanks and support for the military, Jason Aldean recently planned an unforgettable moment for a military family.
On Saturday (August 19), the country singer helped Navy Officer Blake Darling and his wife Brittney surprise their two kids with a special homecoming.
The surprise happened during Jason Aldean’s pre-show VIP experience before his show at the Treasure Island Amphitheater in Welch, Minnesota, part of his ongoing Highway Desperado Tour.

The unsuspecting kids found themselves on stage with Aldean before he asked them if they were ready for a surprise.
“I know your dad is in the military…We got the story and thought we’d give you a little surprise today. So, if that’s cool with you guys, can we do that?”
The kids, who looked a bit confused but more than likely excited, nodded.
Officer Petty then appeared onstage with his wife. His son and daughter both rushed to hug her dad, who had been on a 10-month-long deployment. Aldean announced to the crowd, gesturing towards the officer:
“First Class Petty Officer, Blake Darling, right here, everybody!”
Jason Aldean later posted the touching video to social media. His caption read:
“After a 10 month deployment, First Class Petty Officer Blake Darling is back home with his family! Thanks to his wife Brittney for letting us be in on the surprise. Welcome home!”
This heartwarming reunion went beyond the usual concert experience, showing Aldean’s commitment to honoring military families. The singer has his own personal connection to service, with both his father and grandfather having served.
