Kacey Musgraves Explains Her Strange Mid-Flight Experience
Country star Kacey Musgraves claims she had a “strange” midair experience after spotting what she described as “insane orbs” while flying from Fort Worth, Texas to Nashville, Tennessee.
The Grammy-winning singer recalled the encounter on her Instagram Story Thursday night (April 9). Musgraves said she noticed unusual lights in the sky while mid-flight with her manager. According to her account, the “Rainbow” singer first saw the lights while flying over the Little Rock, Arkansas area and continued observing them until the plane reached Nashville.
“I noticed them. I’m a noticer. I’m always noticing things,” Musgraves told fans. “I was about to lay down and take a nap and I saw these lights that caught my eye that just didn’t look normal. I watched them for a minute and they were definitely trailing each other.”
The 37-year-old described the objects as three “orbs” positioned at high altitude, claiming they appeared to move in patterns and intermittently vanish and reappear. She said they did not behave like any known aircraft and at times formed triangular arrangements in the sky.
Musgraves also noted she captured video of the sighting, sharing clips as part of her post. She said the orbs would get “extremely bright” and change color and size, and appeared to be “following the plane” and changing direction with the plane.
She noted that even experienced pilots could not explain what the lights were or why they appeared so frequently.
“Both pilots were laughing, kind of. They were like, ‘Yeah, we have seen these every single night and all the other pilots are seeing them, too. And nobody knows what they are,’” Kacey shared. “One of the pilots said, ‘Yeah, I was in New York last night and I saw ‘em,’ and the other pilot said, ‘I was in Dallas and I saw them also.’”
