Drama Has Erupted Over A Radio Show Question – But Maybe It Was Not As It Seems?
Keith Urban has been making headlines in the last 24 hours after on Tuesday, July 1, articles surfaced claiming he had hung up on a radio talk show host.
The host asked questions about his wife’s acting career, specifically how Keith felt about her participating in film sex scenes or intimate scenes with other actors. After being asked that question, Keith Urban’s Zoom call was cut off, leading the talk show host to believe that Keith stopped the interview because of the question, which still might be the case.
However, a source recently told PEOPLE Magazine that he did not hang up.
So what really happened?
Nicole and Keith Urban, the adorable power couple, married in 2006 and have two daughters together.
With Nicole’s notable film career, she has often filmed on-screen intimate scenes with fellow actors, including Zac Efron, with whom she starred in Family Affair.
She also recently made headlines for a racy film titled Baby Girl, alongside Harris Dickinson.
The film was quite provocative, depicting an affair between a young intern and Kidman’s character a New York City business executive.
The headline-making moment came when Keith Urban accepted an interview with Australian radio hosts Haley and Max, who host the Mix 102.3’s Haley and Max in the Morning.
The interview was going well, and there was no drama until the host initiated a game called “Wall of Truth.” During this segment, the radio show hosts ask extremely personal questions, and the guest has the option to answer or move on.
During the game, Max asked the question,
“What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?”
As he waited for Urban’s response, he noticed there was silence, leaving the radio hosts confused. He then said, insert quote here,
“I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question. He’s gone, see you Keith.”
He jokingly continued,
“Does Keith Urban hate us? Do we have beef with Keith Urban now?”
Both on-air radio hosts were dumbfounded and unsure what to say.

A source claimed that he did not hang up.
However, today, a contrary report came out claiming that this entire ordeal has been blown out of proportion.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, which has a source close to Keith Urban, he did not hang up.
“Keith did not hang up, period. He doesn’t host his Zoom interviews. This is a complete nothingburger.”
No explanation has been given as to why the call ended.
Maybe People’s source is correct, and it is a complete nothingburger or maybe Urban was annoyed by the question—only time will tell. Return here for Keith Urban’s official statement if he speaks out about the incident.
