In March, Kelly Clarkson Missed Several Episodes Of Her Daytime Talk Show, Which Left Many Fans Concerned
Kelly Clarkson recently shared that she and her family have been going through “a sad time.”
Last month, rumors began to spread about Clarkson and her Emmy-winning talk show after she was suddenly absent from several episodes.
The Kelly Clarkson Show has been on the air since 2019, and with more than 1,000 episodes aired, this was the first time Clarkson has taken an unexpected break.
It all started on March 3, when actor Simu Liu stepped in to host The Kelly Clarkson Show. He later shared that he was asked to take over just five minutes before the taping since he was already there to promote his new movie.
Viewers found it strange since it’s unlike Clarkson to miss an episode without warning. She returned the next day without commenting on her absence, and fans mostly let it go… until she left again just a few days later.
She was gone starting March 6 this time and didn’t return to the show until March 18.
At this point, fans started to worry about Clarkson. Rumors began swirling that she might be getting ready to leave her hit talk show.
Page Six reported that Clarkson’s contract is set to expire next year, which only added to the speculation.
Kelly Clarkson Addresses The “Dark Week” That She And Her Family Have Gone Through
Clarkson has kept quiet about why she stepped away from work recently, but on the show’s April 3 episode, she briefly spoke about it for the first time.
In the episode, Clarkson welcomed A Minecraft Movie cast members Danielle Brooks, Jack Black, and Jason Momoa. She told them that she had taken her kids to see the film, and it brought them a bit of normalcy during a tough time they had all been going through.
“It was kind of a dark week for me and my family, and I got to preview the movie with them,” she said. “It was such an exciting thing. So I just wanted to say thank you. It brought my kids out of, like, a sad time to like, just a normal kind of time.”
Clarkson is the mom to two children, her daughter River Rose (10) and her son Remington (8).
She hasn’t shared any more details about what her family has been dealing with, however. And so far, neither Clarkson nor her team have confirmed whether she plans to leave her talk show next year.
