The People’s Choice Awards took place on Dec. 7, 2022 in Los Angeles. Kelly Clarkson was up for Best Daytime Talk Show, so of course she attended – and she didn’t go alone!

Actress Ana Gasteyer and Niecy Nash presented the award Kelly was up for, and she won! The first person the award-winning talk show hugged was her date – her eight-year-old daughter, River!

After the adorable hug, River applauded and looked so proud watching her mom accept the award! Kelly gave River a shout out, saying they were doing “date night” and said hi to her son, Remington, who wasn’t feeling well at home.
“This is where the people vote…and this is really important to me because this is why I have an entire career!” she said, thanking the fans!
To conclude her speech, Kelly said, “Now I’m gonna go have ice cream with my baby girl!”
The camera panned to River, who was cheering loudly and said, “Go Mom!”
We can’t believe how grown up River looks, and how much she is starting to resemble her mom!
