Kevin Costner Shares First Full-Length Trailer For His Highly Anticipated Horizon Movie Saga
After years of hard work, Yellowstone star Kevin Costner is finally ready to share the first full trailer for his Horizon film project.
Costner first got the idea for Horizon over 30 years ago. He spoke with Variety and other journalists about the project, and explained why he held on to the concept for so long.
“It’s hard to fall out of love. I don’t do that,” he said. “Things that have a classic feel they don’t fall out of touch either. I think they exist in any decade. That’s the opportunity we have in cinema is to make something that lasts past its opening weekend. I’ve never banked on opening weekends; I banked on people wanting to revisit something.”
Kevin Costner's “Horizon” chapters 1 and 2 will have a dual theatrical release from Warner Bros., with the first film hitting theaters on June 28 and the second debuting August 16.

That “something” Costner plans to revisit is the American West. Horizon: An American Saga, will be a four-part series of films that focuses on a 15-year timespan in history. The films will zero in on the pre- and post-Civil War expansion and settlement of the West.
Costner Shares Excitement Over Releasing Preview Of Horizon
Horizon Chapter 1 will debut in theaters on June 28. Chapter 2 will follow with its own theatrical release on August 16.
The cast includes Costner himself, Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Michael Rooker, Danny Huston, Luke Wilson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jeff Fahey, Will Patton, Tantanka Means, Owen Crow Shoe, Ella Hunt, and Jamie Campbell Bower.
During his conversation with Variety and the other journalists, Costner expressed how excited he was to share the first full-length trailer for Horizon.
“Trailers have always been kind of a favorite part for me, even as a boy going to the movies,” he said. “You’re obviously there to see the movie you want, but isn’t it kind of cool when you see what’s coming? … And with that in mind, I did my very best to expose what’s going to be a four-part saga.”
