Following a two-year break, and going their separate ways with solo careers, the three members have finally confirmed the hard-hitting question fans have had on their minds.
With their most recent album released in September 2014, Lady Antebellum has been very soft-spoken and tight lipped about what’s happening with their future as a band. Even two of the members, Hillary Scott, and Charles Kelley, have spearheaded their own projects apart from the band. All of this has left fans wondering what was in store for the future of the trio.
Well, in one of the biggest announcements of their career, the Grammy-winning group has finally decided to share their latest project with fans by announcing a brand new album, single, and world tour!
In a tell-all press release, the band opened up about this exciting new chapter of their career as a threesome and gushed all the details for their upcoming return to the top of the charts!
Revealed today, their forthcoming sixth studio album, entitled Heart Break, will launch on June 9th with the first single, “You Look Good” getting an official video and digital release today.
“We knew right away that we had to name this album after a track that is a play on the word ‘heartbreak,’” Hillary Scott said. ”It’s all about those personal growths everyone goes through and it was liberating to get back in the studio with Charles and Dave to intertwine those feelings into the recording process. I feel like we’ve reemerged stronger than ever and I can’t wait to share more music!”
Additionally, the trio unveiled plans for a massive world tour to promote the album which will kick off in late May 2017 beginning in Bakersfield, California. Venues have not been announced yet, but they have released a list of cities to be included in their tour and are bringing along country music stars Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young as special guests!
The North American leg of the tour will originally feature 43-dates which include stopovers in Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Jacksonville, Omaha, Phoenix, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Detroit, St. Louis, Toronto, Cincinnati, Washington, Chicago, and of course – Nashville! Tickets will go on sale starting January 27th at Megaticket.com, and February 17th at the band’s website.
Explaining their excitement with the new, retro-vibe single, and their incorporation of various new instruments, bandmate Dave Haywood revealed the fun behind it all.
“We’ve always loved experimenting with different instruments and sounds in the studio, but we’ve never used horns before,” he explained. “The energy they brought to this song is really fun and was validation for all three of us that it had to be our first single back.”
