Lainey Wilson Earns Lots Of Love From ACM Awards
Lainey Wilson is one of country music’s biggest stars at the moment. She took off after the release of her 2021 album Sayin’ What I’m Thinking, which included the hit song “Things a Man Oughta Know.” The track won the ACM’s Song of the Year award in 2022.
Wilson also took home the ACM’s New Female Artist of the Year award that same year.
Since then, Wilson has won two CMA Awards and two CMT Music Awards. She also scored a role on Yellowstone as a musician named Abby.
Now, Wilson is up for six awards at the 2023 ACM Awards. She earned nominations for Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (for Bell Bottom Country), Single of the Year (for “Heart Like a Truck”), Song of the Year (for “Wait in the Truck), Visual Media of the Year (for “Wait in the Truck), and Music Event of the Year (for “Wait in the Truck”).

I am so proud to be in these categories alongside some of my favorite artists and friends, especially my buddy @hardy…thank you for letting me be a part of the incredible song that is “wait in the truck”…Love y’all and see y’all down in TX. Lainey Wilson Brings Her A-Game To The 2023 ACM Awards
In addition to being one of the ACM’s top nominees this year, Wilson also performed “Grease” during the ceremony. Wilson just released the official music video for “Grease” a few days before the ACM Awards.
But that performance actually came AFTER another performance! Wilson surprised everyone by joining Jelly Roll onstage as his duet partner. They rocked a performance of his new song, “Save Me.”
After the performance, Jelly Roll revealed that he recorded “Save Me” with Wilson, and the song is available now.
Wilson’s two fiery performances came just moments after she won the award for Female Artist of the Year. And those performances proved why she is deserving of that title!
