The woman known for her role as the leading lady of the hit show announced she’d lost a very close member of her cast family on Facebook recently.

Laura Bell Bundy, widely known for portraying Elle Woods in Legally Blonde – The Musical, and also known for her own take on country music, revealed to her fans that one of her closest co-stars had passed away.

“Here we are Bruiser, Heaven,” Bundy writes on her post, citing a line from the worldwide hit musical comedy and movie series. “Today we lost one of the sweetest puppies I know, Teddy.”

Teddy, the dog that played the part of “Bruiser” on the show was often by her side through repeated rehearsals and a seemingly countless number of performances, creating a bond that would never be broken. The tragic loss of their castmate has undoubtedly caused heartache not only with Bundy, but with everyone too.

“Teddy’s first and only show was Legally Blonde where he shared stage time with Boo and Chico,” Bundy continued. “That’s where I bonded with him first but then he was adopted by two of my dearest friends @paulcanaan & @peob6254 and that’s when Teddy really started to flourish. In his later days, his daddy, Patty made true life sacrifices to take care of him and gave him such incredible love. Teddy was not just a dog. Teddy was family.

As we all know, Bruiser was an integral part of the show often keeping Bundy’s character in good spirits and providing priceless companionship and love.

We are saddened to hear that the cast has lost one of their close friends and have included Bundy’s full post below, along with a picture of Teddy.
