What is the Barstool Yak Gauntlet?
Barstool Sports is a media company focused on sports and culture, known for its playful reporting and popular podcasts.
One event that has gained popularity is a competition called the Yak Gauntlet. Essentially, the sports company gets their famous guests to compete in a fun display of athletic ability.
It begins with a shot of cornhole, followed by a soccer kick that must pass a goalie, then a baseball “home run” where the ball is hit to the second level, then a football pass through a cutout, followed by two back-to-back three-point shots, and finally, the competitor has to answer a series of trivia questions.
Over the years, Barstool has had hundreds of people go through the gauntlet. The fastest time is a minute and 26 seconds.
Luke Combs placed 78 with a time of 2:45:48.
While he got the cornhole on the first try he had some trouble with the soccer goalie. Watch his run below.

Luke Combs On The Podcast
Besides his Gauntlet run, Luke Combs shared some insight into his life and the early days of his career.
According to Combs, he has a modest home, which the podcasters discovered when they were discussing how they like to cook their steaks. Combs shared that he uses a cast-iron pan and oven.
One of the podcast hosts joked that making a steak that way would smoke up his entire kitchen, but Luke wouldn’t have a problem because he must have a big house.
He responded,
“I don’t. My house is 2,200 square feet. Two bedroom, two bath. Two kids. Three-year-old, two-year-old. My kitchen and my dining room are the same room.”
According to Combs he spends his country music star money on fancy guitars and, “Watches… and then I mean land. Like hunting land. Hunting land is up there for sure.” To which one of the podcasters said, “That’s a country a** answer.”
