Earlier this month, Luke Combs made a stop in Louisiana to perform at this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. All proceeds from his performance went to the Preservation Hall Foundation.

During his set, Combs took the stage with the legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band for a special performance of the Sam Cooke classic, “Bring It On Home to Me.”

“Bring It On Home to Me” was recorded by the “King of Soul,” Sam Cooke, and released in 1962. The song was a major hit, reaching No.2 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Sides chart and climbing to No.13 on the Billboard Hot 100.

When Luke Combs took the stage, his raspy voice brought the soul and emotion the song is known for. Backed by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, it was a truly powerful tribute to one of the most classic soul songs of all time.

Luke Combs Has Been Releasing Quite A Bit Of New Music Recently

Over the last few months, Combs has been surprising fans with new music during his shows around the world.

While on tour in Australia earlier this year, he debuted an unreleased song called “Pushin’ Up Daisies.

Not long after that, he performed another unreleased track, a heartbreak song called “Wish Upon a Whiskey.”

Most recently, Combs teamed up with Bailey Zimmerman to officially drop a new collaboration titled “Backup Plan.”

With all the new music Combs has been teasing lately, and the recent collaboration drop, many fans are starting to think a new album could be on the way.

So far, nothing has been confirmed. In fact, Combs recently shared in an interview that he’s decided to scale back on touring so he can spend more time with his family.

So, while he may be hitting the road less, fans will have to wait and see if a new album is still in the cards.
