Luke Combs Shares New Song “Wish Upon A Whiskey”
Luke Combs has been on tour across Australia and New Zealand for almost a month now, and he has started a special tradition during his shows.
The country star has been surprising his massive crowds by performing an unreleased song in each city he visits.
Just last week, fans were treated to a live performance of Combs’ song “Pushin’ Up Daisies.” He’s been teasing this track for a few months now. He first shared it during an event at the Country Music Hall of Fame in celebration of his pop-up exhibit, The Man I Am.
Luke Combs’ most recent surprise song is a new track titled “Wish Upon a Whiskey.” He debuted the never-before-heard track on January 31 at Accor Stadium in Syndey, Australia.
“Wish Upon a Whiskey,” is an emotional track by Combs. The song explores the struggle of trying to move on from an ex-lover, but the protagonist ultimately turns to bottles of whiskey to numb the heartbreak.

The “Fast Car” singer later shared a video of his performance on his Instagram for fans to enjoy who weren’t in attendance. In the caption of the video, Combs simply introduced the song and told fans that he hopes they “dig it.”
And of course, there isn’t any doubt that his fans loved the sneak peek of the unreleased song. People flooded the video’s comment section with excitement for Combs’ new music:
“Give us this song!!” one fan begged.
“I was blessed to be in the crowd in Sydney Australia for this one and let me tell you I cried like a baby,” one person who was able to see Combs’ live performance wrote.
“My goodness Luke just never misses!!!” another fan said.
At this point, Luke Combs has teased so many new songs that fans are speculating a new album announcement is coming soon. He released his last album, Fathers & Sons, last summer, so fans are definitely eager for more new tracks from him.
