A South Carolina Hospital Underwent A Major Remodel, Thanks In Part To A Generous Donation From Dolly Parton.
Dolly Parton has once again made a big impact, this time in Union County, South Carolina.
The country legend contributed to much-needed improvements at a local hospital, helping create a more welcoming environment for patients and the community.
According to WYFF 4, Parton was one of three major donors who helped make the hospital’s renovations possible.
She gave $100,000 toward the project, which funded the creation of a quiet reflection area for visitors, a one-mile walking trail, a chapel, and gardens.

Helping this particular community was especially meaningful to the “9 to 5” singer. Her mother grew up in the town of Lockhart, making Union County a place very close to her heart.
It’s no surprise to see Dolly Parton invest in causes she deeply cares about. She has a well-earned reputation for making generous and thoughtful donations.
Most recently, just before Christmas, she donated an incredible $1 million to The Salvation Army, helping fund food and grocery programs for communities in need nationwide.
Another huge moment last year was when Dolly Parton donated a total of $3 million to support victims of Hurricane Helene.
In October, she announced a $2 million donation during a press conference at a Walmart in Newport, Tennessee. Half of the funds came from her personal money, while the other half was contributed through her business ventures, including Dollywood.
Then, she made another $1 million donation during the Concert for Carolina, an event organized by Eric Church and Luke Combs. The benefit raised over $24 million to help North Carolina recover from the storm.
Dolly Parton Is Bringing Her Life Story To Broadway
In more Dolly news, the country music legend is bringing her life story to the Broadway stage with a brand-new musical.
The production will feature many of her hits, along with new songs written exclusively for the show.
While the cast has yet to be announced, three actors will portray Parton at different stages of her life. The musical will premiere in Nashville, Tennessee, where Parton launched her legendary career, before heading to Broadway in 2026.
