Singer and actress Marie Osmond took to social media Thursday (Feb 8) to honor and remember Toby Keith. Her tribute read:
“Toby Keith was one of the greatest guys I knew and his heart was bigger than the universe.🤍🤍 This is one of the last things he did to help all our kids at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Rest in peace, Toby. You will be greatly missed…🕊️”
Marie shared a photo of Toby from July 2023, where he is sporting a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals t-shirt and encouraging his followers to learn more and donate to the network of children’s hospitals.
Toby Keith and Marie Osmond shared a passion for helping pediatric cancer patients.
A cause that was near and dear to both Toby Keith and Marie Osmond was helping support pediatric cancer patients. Toby established the Toby Keith Foundation in 2006, which aims to “encourage the health and happiness of pediatric cancer patients and to support OK Kids Korral.”
The OK Kids Korral first opened it’s doors in 2014. It is a “cost-free, convenient and comfortable home for pediatric cancer patients receiving treatment at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center, Stephenson Cancer Center, and other nearby facilities.”
Marie Osmond is one of four co-founders who established Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. CMN Hospitals helps 10 million sick and injured kids treated at 170 member hospitals across North America by raising funds for “critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.”
Some of the hospitals in the Children’s Miracle Network are the very facilities at which families staying at the OK Kids Korral will go for treatment.
