Jackson Laux has captured the hearts of many with his impressive farming knowledge, and at just eight years old, he’s become a viral sensation because of it, gaining over 800,000 followers on TikTok.
But who is this adorable kid who seems to know everything there is about farming and tractors?
Meet Young Farmer Prodigy, Jackson Laux
Jackson Laux, a well-spoken third grader from South Whitley, Indiana, is a tractor-riding farming enthusiast who knows more about tractors— especially John Deere models— than most adults.
Jackson has always been involved in farm life, coming from a long line of farmers who have taught him everything he knows about working the land.
In an interview with the Like a Farmer Podcast, Jackson explained that his first video to ever gain traction was posted on his cousin’s TikTok account. Following that success and another video also performing well, it only made sense for him to start his own channel.
“My thought was, ‘If I do that, I get hats,'” Jackson said about starting his own successful social media channel, noting that he is also a huge hat lover.
That decision paid off earlier this year when Jackson went viral for his impressive knowledge during a tractor show. In the video, he is seen engaging in a conversation with industry representatives about a Case combine. Jackson goes on to suggest modifications to make the combine more competitive in the market, leaving the grown men around him amazed by the little boy standing in front of them.

Jackson’s newfound fame has brought him more than just hats, though.
He has made appearances at multiple farm shows and even had the opportunity to collaborate with his favorite tractor company, John Deere. However, one of the most exciting moments was receiving the surprise of a lifetime during an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
Jackson Laux Gets Surprise Message From Blake Shelton
During his appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Hudson revealed that Jackson’s favorite country singer, Blake Shelton, had seen his videos and had a surprise for him. A video message from Shelton then played, where he spoke directly to Jackson.
“I just wanted to say I’m a big fan, and I wanted to say hi to you,” Blake Shelton said via video message. “Keep up the good work. I’m jealous because you live up there in Indiana, and that’s corn country up there … I love all the tractors. I’m a Kubota guy myself. I’m not sure what it is you drive, probably whatever it is you want with as famous as you are.”
After the video, Jackson told Hudson, “That clip of Blake Shelton made my day. That just made my day. That was cool. He’s probably my top singer.”
