Multi-Talented Artists Miley Cyrus And Lyle Lovett To Be Recognized With Stars

In Miley Cyrusโ€™ new visual album, Something Beautiful (2025), the pop star can be seen dancing over Arnold Schwarzenegger’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Now, sheโ€™ll have a star of her own.

On Wednesday, July 2, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced its class of 2026 recipients of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Among the stars being immortalized in the sidewalk of Tinseltown are pop star and actress Miley, and country artist and actor Lyle Lovett.

Other recipients include Shaquille Oโ€™Neal; Molly Ringwald; Demi Moore; Rachel McAdams; and the late Top Gun filmmaker, Tony Scott.

Miley Cyrus Responds To The Honor

Posting a clip to social media of her performance of her song โ€œWalk Of Fameโ€ from her film, Something Beautiful, Miley tied the setting of the film on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to her latest honor.

She also used this recognition as an opportunity to look back on life before fame, even as her father, country artist and actor Billy Ray Cyrus, has been famous her whole life.

Billyโ€™s 1992 debut album, Some Gave All, was released six months before Miley was born, and he would prove himself as an actor, starring in David Lynchโ€™s revered film Mulholland Drive (2001) and then on television in Doc.

This paved the way for Miley to find her way onto TV screens, starring in the lead role of the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana. The show also led to the start of her career as a recording artist.

Writing on social media, Miley recalled, โ€œWhen I first came to LA from Nashville as a little girl, my family would stay at a hotel on Hollywood Blvd, and I would go on late night walks with my dad when no one would recognize him. Weโ€™d have the gift shops to ourselves & buy knock off Oscars and Marilyn Monroe merchandise.โ€

Continuing, she wrote:

โ€œTo now be cemented on this legendary boulevard, surrounded by the icons who inspired me, feels like a dream. This moment will live forever, thank you to everyone in my life who made it possible. I am grateful to share this star with you.โ€

As of 2025, Miley has released nine studio albums, and has won two Grammy Awards.

Lyle Lovett To Be Recognized With Star

Country star Lyle Lovett will also be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, following nearly four decades of work as a recording artist and three decades of work in film.

He released his first album, Lyle Lovett, in 1986, after having already established himself in the folk music scene and would go on to win the 1990 Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for his third album, Lyle Lovett and His Large Band.

A few years later, he would begin acting, notably working on several films by the acclaimed filmmaker Robert Altman, including the films The Player (1992), Short Cuts (1993), and Cookieโ€™s Fortune (1999).

In addition to the arts, Lyle was inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2012, recognizing his excellence as a horseman.

As of July 3, Lyle has not given comment on the Hollywood Walk of Fame announcement.

Dates for the Walk of Fame ceremonies have not yet been announced.
